Fly Fishing Tackle Assessment: The Snobee Prestige II 9’ Rod

If your interests are similar to mine, you know what an amazing sensation you get from just to walk into an invigorating, chilly stream and cast your line into the water. No matter if it is trout or salmon that I’m angling for, I’m certainly going to try my best of with the best possible fly fishing tackle I can manage to pay for. I really am fond of anything that Snobee makes. I’ve found their tackle to be of excellent quality of the price. Whether it’s a rod or reel, Snobee tackle tends to be of high quality, whilst remaining quite affordable. Here’s a review of one of my recent acquisitions: the Snobee Prestige II 9’ fly rod.

Fly Fishing Tackle: Chief Characteristics of the Snobee Prestige II 9’ Rod

The cost of this medium-priced, 2-section rod is around£135. It features a matte green blank with green wrap. One of my favourite features is the excellent cork cigar handle. This rod contains a reel seat together with an eye-catching apple wood insert. A good reason why I like Snobee fly fishing tackle is because these rods feature a five year guarantee. Through out the first year, this guarantee is unrestricted and envelops manufacturing defects and non- deliberate damage. On the other 4 years, the unlimited warranty covers breakage and accidental harm.

Fly Fishing Tackle: Other Facts Regarding the Snobee Prestige II 9’ Rod

Something enjoyable about this rod, to me, is its middle to tip action. The Snobee Prestige II has excellent casting ability and excellent line presentation. The line has faultless quality and the reel seat is very special, too. This is very resourceful, good quality fishing equipment, plus the matte green blank is really stunning. An aspect that I really don’t like is the hook keeper, in my opinion is too tiny. Regardless of the sturdy tip action, I haven’t experienced any problems with intermediate to short distance casts. The line speed is wonderful including the longer casts. This is a strong rod, and I’ve experienced no problem casting into the wind with it.

Fly Fishing Tackle: Final Thoughts on the Snobee Prestige II Rod

The total superiority of this rod holds the strong blank on the Prestige II. I feel that the cork handle is great, and even though the rod doesn’t work as perfectly as other Snobee items, it still is worth the money. If you are rough with your equipment, then this Snobee prestige model may be wrong for you. One more thing, it operates very gawkily adequate and is not easy to convey, possibly best marked as middle to tip, however reasonable. In my opinion, the Prestige II rod is a good choice for river fishermen who aren’t very active, but rather who sit still, waiting for the fish to take the bait.

Being a mid-range priced fly fishing tackle, the Snobee Prestige II 9’ fly rod is a good value that combines plenty of features with an affordable price.
