Carp Fishing Bait – How to Make A Particle Mix
Ok, I’m going to share a great little mixture with you guys today. I call it the Pigeon Mega Mix and it works like a charm. For this you will need the following -
1kg of Pigeon conditioner (available from pet shops all over the country)
1kg of Hemp Seed (also available from pet shops all over the country)
1kg of Caster Sugar
1 large bag of method mix (I like to use Van De Eyne Tutti Fruity mix)
5 litre bottle of distilled water (something like Volvic)
Start of by preparing your particles, add the hemp and Pigeon conditioner to a large plastic container and then add the distilled water until the mix is covered.
Once the mix has begun to soak, take the 1kg bag of caster sugar and 1 litre of water and add them both to a medium sized pan, bring to pan to the boil and stir the mix until the sugar has dissolved and your left with a sticky liquid.
Add the sugar water to the container with the Pigeon conditioner and Hemp and stir vigorously for a minute and then cover the container and leave the mix to stand for 48 hours.
After 48 hours, return to the container and separate the liquid from the particles. Add the particles to large pan, or 2 medium pans if you don’t have a stew pan. Then fill the pan with your sugar water and boil the mix for 30 minutes. Keep your excess liquids, you’ll need them later.
Once you have boiled your particles for 30 minutes, put them into your large container and keep the liquids to 1 side. Then take roughly 1 third of the mix, put it into a food processor and liquefy it.
Mix the liquified particles back into the container with the solid seeds and begin slowly adding your method mix.
Use the remainder of your liquids to help bind the method mix and particles together until you find a good consistency. You now have enough method mix to last you 48 hours and at a cost of less than £8.
The Pigeon conditioner has an aniseed smell to it, that along with the sugar and additives from the Van De Eyne Tutti Fruity mix simply drive the carp crazy.

Vanillin belongs to the same functional group that is the alcohols; has kind of similar effects on the carps. It is pretty popular due to the synthetic vanilla flavor fame. In chocolate, the synthetic version is more used rather than usage of the natural vanillin extract which is pretty expensive is actually an isomer of eugenol.
Now days, the fermentation of a wood extract lignin known as talin (It gives actually a richer flavor in comparison with those oil based flavor) is used to make vanilla.
